Glencoe and Ardgour Routes
|
Glencoe is one of the great mountaineering areas of Scotland. As you can see it has a large number of 5-star routes. Because of the nature of it's terrain it has less to offer those wanting gentle valley walks than other areas, but everyone will enjoy the grandeur of the scenery and the splendid waterfalls. The easiest way to get to Ardgour is via Corran ferry. The alternative route via the head of Loch Eil is many miles longer! I only have one route listed, but it's a classic mountain (though not by the classic route). Driving to the Glencoe takes about ¾ hour, and although Ardgour is a bit closer the ferry crossing means it takes about the same time.
